17th Annual Conference"International Challenges Facing the Church"

The 17th annual conference was held on Monday, April 3, 2006 at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. The theme was "International Challenges Facing the LDS Church" and included security issues, anti-American sentiments, and humanitarian projects and challenges.

We appreciate all those who either presented at or attended the 2006 conference. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the presentations, attendance, and participation at the conference; indeed there was a larger audience and greater interest than in any previous year. The 2006 "Distinguished Service Award" was presented to Mr. William F. Atkin, founder of the LDS International Society in 1989. We honor him for his international work and service as the head of the General Church Council and his professional and spiritual impact he has had on numerous individuals across the globe. The 2006 Conference Proceedings are now published and available online (free of charge) or as a printed hard-copy for $6.00 each. To view the conference program, please click the link below.
